    Take a Stroll Through the Brooklyn Botanical Garden
     Sunday, April 21st, 10:00 am

    Get lost in nature as you wander through carefully tended gardens at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, situated next to Prospect Park on 52 acres. You'll find peaceful gardens like the Cherry Esplanade, Fragrance Garden, Herb Garden, Magnolia Plaza, Cranford Rose Garden, Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, Shakespeare Garden, and the new Woodland Garden, among others.

    Let's celebrate cherry blossom season and all the spring blooms with casual, pop-up music and dance performances at Brooklyn Botanic Garden this Saturday.

    Visitors to the Garden can enjoy modern, vegetable-focused cuisine in a full-service setting at Yellow Magnolia Café, casual entrées at the seasonal outdoor eatery Yellow Magnolia Canteen, or sandwiches, snacks, and drinks at the Coffee Bar.

    Swiss National Day

    with the Swiss Ski Club and the Swiss Society

    SATURDAY, July 27th from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM

    Join the Swiss Ski Club, the Swiss Society of New York and other Swiss non-profit organizations in celebrating Swiss National Day at a new location this year – The Hudson - on Saturday, July 29th from 4pm to 9pm. It’s only a 10-minute walk from the Dyckman Street exit on the A train in the Inwood neighborhood of upper Manhattan.  This waterfront venue offers fresh air and outstanding views of the Hudson River, Palisades Cliffs and the George Washington Bridge  The Hudson

     

    Details for the event can be found at the following link SND — Swiss Society of New York and will include the traditional Swiss foods and drinks, Swiss entertainment and activities for all ages, and the delicious desserts served by your Swiss Ski Club!  

    Admission is only $15 if purchased in advance ($20 at the door if not sold out) which includes a free raffle ticket and your choice to purchase whatever food and drinks you’d like, or a pre-sale package option for $40 that includes 2 raffles tickets, 2 glasses of wine and 1 raclette dinner.  $40 for a night on the town in NYC is a great bargain!  Pre-purchasing tickets at the SND link above is highly recommended to ensure admission, as NYC regulations govern maximum capacity and once that is reached, sales will stop.

    Let’s return to the Swiss roots of our Ski Club and come out and enjoy a late summer afternoon and evening at a great location with excellent food and drinks, friendly people and share in commemorating the founding of the Swiss Confederation way back in 1291.  We look forward to seeing you there!
