You DO NOT have to be a member to join us at most of our events!
How do I become a member? Membership in the SSC is by a vote of the members. We ask that you join us for two events in New York City and two weekends at our lodge in Vermont over the course of one season.
Do I have to be an expert skier?
Not at all! Our members include skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities, beginner to advanced. You're sure to find someone to ski or board with who matches your ability. We have lots of cross-country skiers also and even an occasional telemarker.
What about other, non-skiing events? How can I attend?
For other events the procedure depends on the event. If the calendar lists a reservationist, please contact that person for details.
I'm not Swiss, does that matter?
The club prides itself on its international membership. We have members from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Canada, the Middle East and even the unknown lands of the New York City suburbs. (Throughout New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut and beyond).
Do you have summer activities?
Sure do. We have social and recreational activities in New York City, the NYC area, and in Vermont, during the spring, summer and fall. Check our Events Calendar to see what we're doing in any season.
